It is one of the most famous wineries, with their Prince Stirbey. The family history is old, for over 300 years the princely Stirbey family has owned a vineyard in the vineyard of Dragasani, Princess Maria Stirbey (eldest daughter of Prince Barbu Al. Stirbey) inherited the vineyards in 1946.
In 2001 the winery and vineyards were returned to the heirs, and today it is run by the family of barons Jakob and Ileana Kripp (Princess Maria Stirbey’s granddaughter).
