Baile Olanesti resort is situated 20 km from Rm. Valcea, Olt Valley, on either side of the Olanesti Paraul, at an altitude of 450 meters, in the center of a small depression of the Southern Carpathians, open in the south and closed to the north and west by the limestone ridges of the Capatinii Mountains. It is crossed by a picturesque valley, surrounded by rich forests.

Baile Olanesti is a spa resort of general interest, with permanent activity and occupies the first place among the Romanian spa resorts in terms of the number of springs, their daily flow, as well as the variety of composition and concentration of mineral waters.

In the resort there are more than 35 hydro-mineral sources, both as natural springs and as a result of drilling. These are grouped into three main types of mineral waters, at different stages of mineralization of the soul.

Baile Olanesti ranks first among the Romanian spa resorts in terms of the number of springs, their total daily flow rate, as well as the variety of mineral water composition and concentration. In the resort there are more than 35 hydro-mineral sources, both as natural springs and as a result of drilling and mining works (wells and galleries). A number of 15 mineral springs are captured for internal cure are uncaptured. Two mineral springs and four mineral water wells are used for external cure (balneology).

– 4 springs with diuretic waters
– 1 bicarbonate spring with abundant gas emissions
– 2 purgative springs
– 2 ferruginous springs
– 2 springs with mixed composition.
